Lowcountry Catholic

Reflections on the Catholic faith and prayer, with a Southern flair.

Hello, everyone! I do apologize for the silence. On the one hand, I was distracted by a writing project and general life. On the other, my health has had several ups and downs of late.

Going forward, this blog will update twice weekly. Saturdays will be brief meditations and Tuesdays will be articles on an aspect of the Faith. If you have any questions about Catholicism, please don’t hesitate to comment on this post or send me a message on my contact page.

Also, I now dedicate this site to Blessed Carlo Acutis! An amazing young man who died in 2006 of leukemia at age, he taught himself programming so he could build a website about Eucharistic miracles. He loved video games but only allowed himself one hour a week. He once said that he didn’t mind dying because every moment of his life was spent doing what pleased God.

His story charmed me, as well as the fact that he was born six years after me! Click on this link to learn more about Blessed Carlo. Many consider him the patron saint of the Internet and computer programmers.
